Pokémon Company announced Splash! Magikarp (Hanero! Koiking), a new smartphone game that will release in Japan in Spring 2017.
The game is being developed by Japanese studio, Select Button, which previously released the popular free mobile title, Survive! Mola Mola!. While there is a fishy theme to the two games, This should not come as much of a surprise considering the popularity Pokemon has been enjoying since Go was released.
The Pokemon Company has had lots of success with their last mobile games such as Pokemon GO and Pokemon Duel. The new game should be good as the two previous games, if not better. Hopefully if the new game becomes a success in Japan, we could see it released in other countries in the near future. We’ll have more information on it soon.
No word yet on an international release.
