LEGO Life is a new app for Android and iOS where all LEGO lovers can create and share their virtual building sets on a child-friendly platform. The point of the app is to show off your creations, view the creations of others, and engage with fellow fans of LEGOs.
The app takes more than a few cues from adult-centric social media services such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. kids can follow other Lego fans, like and comment on posts, and share their own content. But Lego Life also caters to its young audience by providing building challenges, artistic activities, and quizzes. So kids will get to customize their own LEGO avatars, and they cannot directly chat with other players online.
The company also assures that usernames are generated for them. As huge fans of both Lego and great iOS apps, Jeff, Dan, and Alex had to get their hands on the new Lego Life of George. A competitive Lego building game, it uses the camera on the iPhone to check the accuracy of your constructions, as well as timing you against your opponents.
The app, which is available for free in the App Store, has two modes: Game Mode and Creation Mode.
The only downside is that the app still has some bugs that it needs to iron out. Luckily, it's completely free so you can get it now or later after those bugs get fixed.
