It is always a refreshing sight to see developers bringing something fresh and new to the gaming scene. Chicken Scream is a relatively self-explanatory name of an Android game that started rolling out on the Google Play Store on Monday. Developed by Perfect Tap Games. Chicken Scream is one game that has certainly built upon an idea in gaming that is fairly new and interesting and ridiculous, and that is the use of voice and sound within the game.
The game has seemed to take a bit of inspiration from Flappy Bird. Chicken Scream, however, takes this idea and runs with it by making a voice control gimmick the core of its gameplay mechanic. It's quite simple, really to walk forward, talk to your phone gently; to jump, make some noise, and there’s no way to make the chicken go backward but you can at least make it stop by staying quiet, though that may not do you much good if you’re supposed to make a bigger jump that requires a run-up.. It works well enough when you get the hang of it, but this control “scheme” the only thing that makes Chicken Scream unique.
Get your high score and collect points for getting far in the game but be careful about the obstacles and the water. The game itself is wonderfully refreshing to play, putting an original spin on a genre that we’ve seen done so many times. Just look after your voice: it may take a beating after a few goes.
