You don't need a Mac to create professional-looking video. With these great apps, an iPhone or iPad will do just fine. Apple has a new app for the iPhone, in case you haven't heard. It's called Clips, because it creates video clips, a fun and easy-to-use app for creating short videos to share on social media.
Clips make it easy to string together multiple video clips and photos, and add a soundtrack, so you can can create and send a personalised message, tell a story or create a video blog in minutes. The app requires no knowledge of video editing. When you open it, you’ll be greeted with a square capture screen, looking at you through the front camera. If that reminds you of Snapchat, you’re not alone. It puts recording front and centre, it’s got a few filters, and even a bunch of overlays. Fortunately, the similarities end there.
If you’re satisfied with your creation, you just touch Done in the bottom-right of the timeline. When you tap the share button, you can either save the video (in full-HD) to your library, or share it on the social networks you prefer. In addition, there’s a new iMessage tray above that.
Compared to some of the social networks' video-editing tools, the options are pretty limited, but no doubt Apple will expand its library of filters and stickers over time. So If you’re willing to take some time to learn all that Pinnacle offers, I think you’ll find it’s one of the most capable video editing apps you’ll use for iPhone or iPad.
We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
