Legendary Pokémon are coming to Pokémon Go by the end of the year
For the first few months that Pokémon Go was out, it seemed like Niantic Labs was focusing on updating the AR game, but not in the ways users wanted.
Niantic has apparently launched its Pokémon Go Gen two update , which is supposed to add about 100 new monsters to the game . Niantic is keen to keep users engaged, and there have already been some predictions for the New Year.
The developer has reportedly sent out a new message teasing the next update. The game developer seems to be more on top of things, and has been releasing a steady stream of updates that truly bring value to the game. For instance, Niantic just recently added 100 new Pokémon, as well as a night mode map, new berries and new encounter mechanics. Those 100 new Pokémon consisted of all Generation Two monsters, but no legendary Pokémon.
Niantic CEO John Hanke was recently asked about the possibility of bringing fan-favorites like Mewtwo, Mew and the three legendary birds in an interview with Wired’s German division. “I can say with certainty that we will see more of that this year,” .
