HAWK: Freedom Squadron is a super simplified high-end top-down shooter game that is so simple you will find yourself playing game after game with no need to ever stop and think about what you are doing. HAWK: Freedom Squadron is a game you’ll probably want to check out.
Verdia is in trouble from outside forces. You are tasked with protecting your homeland in HAWK Freedom Squadron.
Whatever battle you choose, you're never alone -- the unique co-op mode allows you to join forces with either a bro you know, or a new friend. So every time you destroy an enemy ship your combo counter goes up by one. You can see your current combo multiplier at the top right corner of the screen. It goes up to a maximum of x20, which means every kill you land is worth 20 times the amount of points! You’ll want to maintain this combo multiplier for as long as you can if you’re shooting for a high score. The only time your combo breaks is if you take damage. You don’t need to worry about destroying ships as fast as you can, as there is no timer. Just focus on evading bullets and obstacles. It also allows you to simply tap and drag anywhere on the screen in order to move your player. The battle and defeat bosses that are so big they don't even fit the screen! And wipe out swarms of their minions.
Graphically: HAWK Freedom Squadron is obviously going for a cartoon look. It has absolutely no problem with the art style as it is actually quite good. Bosses are super large and detailed just what you want in a scrolling shooter.
